Yan Wang

About Me

I am currently a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca in Beijing, China, where I work on AI-driven antibody discovery and design. I received my Ph.D. from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, under the supervision of Prof. Hao Wu. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Tongji University in 2021.

From July 2023 to February 2025, I was a research intern at ByteDance Research, where I worked on protein generation under the leadership of Prof. Quanquan Gu. From Mar. 2025 to Sep. 2025, I visited Chalmers University of Technology, supervised by Prof. Simon Olsson.

Research Interests

My research lies at the intersection of machine learning, computational biology, and statistial physics – with particular focus on AI for drug discovery, molecular dynamics, and generative modeling. My broader research interests include protein structure generation, the thermodynamics and kinetics of molecular dynamics, and uncertainty quantification.
